Session Description and Speaker Bio

Fostering Environmental Leadership: This session will help you learn how to foster environmental leadership among your students with the team from the Thames Region Ecological Association (TREA). The focus of TREA is simple – To increase the level of awareness and participation in sustainable efforts happening today in the Thames Region. This session will also introduce the candidates to experiential learning and leadership opportunities offered by community organizations in the environmental space.

This session will be presented by Diane Szoller, who is the President of Thames Region Ecological Association (TREA). She will be aided in this session by two TREA Board members - Carter Eady, in his final year of the University of Waterloo Environment & Business Honours program and who is now planning to complete a Western Master’s program in Sustainability, and Ava Thompson in her third year at Western University pursuing a dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Media, Information & Technoculture.
