Political Ed Outreach Wheatpasting Volunteer Interest Form: Sep and Oct 2023
This is the sign up form to assist with political education outreach leading up to the upcoming Big Tech and Capitalism: DC Walking Tour and Mt. Pleasant Socialist Night School. Join if you want to get together with a small group to put posters up using wheatpaste around the DC area. Wheatpasting involves anchoring posters on walls and light poles around town with a homemade organic glue -no experience needed!

These events are hosted by Metro DC DSA but you do not have to be a member to attend and volunteer. Each outings will take about 2 hours. Make sure to put accurate contact information on this form,  so we can bring the group together over text or a Signal chat to pick a time and meet up spot. Contact Taylor Woods at woodswt@gmail.com or 281-635-2439 with any immediate concerns.

Would you be interested in helping make the paste in the day before the outing? It involves cooking flour, sugar, and water together (according to a recipe we'd provide) and bringing it to the event.  *
Do you have a car we may be able to use for a wheatpasting session? We may be interested in driving to reach areas of the city not accessible to our usual starting spots along the Green or Red Metro lines. *
Are you interested in coordinating one of the wheatpasting sessions? This would include ensuring supply delivery, training people new to wheatpasting, and deciding which neighborhoods to visit.  *
Do you have any suggestions of which neighborhoods to visit? Bonus points for high foot traffic and knowledge of boxes, construction sites, and other poster locations.
