TXST Site for Entrepreneurship
This is the application for the Faculty Innovation Accelerator Program (FIAP) and the TXST I-Corps Program.

If you have any questions, please contact Jana Minifie at jm13@txstate.edu.

About the program: FIAP is designed for TXST Faculty who have developed research in conjunction with their responsibilities at TXST and are considering IP in terms of commercialization.  I-Corps is designed for any TXST or non-TXST member who is working on their own business whether it is STEM-based or not.

  • In the FIAP program, scientists and engineers take the first step in assessing if their research has the feasibility to become a product or service of benefit to society. In the I-Corps program, non-faculty participants discover how to understand the Product-Market fit their their product/service.
  • Participants join the program in small teams organized around developing and commercializing a particular discovery.
  • Teams engage in customer discovery research aimed at investigating the commercial viability and societal impact of a novel discovery or process in science, technology, or engineering.
  • The FIAP program provides grants up to $11,000 and training to support customer discovery and technology investigation. Both the faculty lead and another individual on the team must attend all sessions to qualify for funding.
  • For FIAP and I-Corps, each training program consists of 3 sessions (online) provided by our TXST FIAP/ICORPS facilitators.

      • Additional researchers or leads are welcome.
  • Technical lead
