Sta je te popelen om je onder te dompelen in de wereld van de audioverhalen en tegelijkertijd je handen uit de mouwen te steken? We ontvangen je met open armen als vrijwilliger tijdens het Oorzaken Festival 2023 van 1 t/m 4 juni bij het Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam!
Oorzaken Internationaal Podcast Festival
Tijdens de 4e editie van Oorzaken Festival kun je samen luisteren naar de mooiste podcasts, audiowalks, luisterinstallaties en masterclasses. In een theaterzaal, op een plein, in de tuin of al lopend door de buurt. We verwachten een internationaal publiek van cultuurliefhebbers, podcastmakers, schrijvers, theatermakers en toevallige passanten. We hebben een fantastisch programma samengesteld rondom het festivalthema van dit jaar: ‘Tegenpolen’ waarin we de groeiende kloof in de samenleving als uitgangspunt nemen. We gaan op zoek naar verhalen waarin je gedwongen wordt je in te leven, verhalen waarbij tegenpolen elkaar op een wonderbaarlijke wijze vinden of een brug bouwen. Audioverhalen die de horizon van bezoekers verbreden in plaats van bevestigen.
Wat
Om het festival mogelijk te maken hebben we jouw hulp nodig! We zoeken vrijwilligers voor o.a. de volgende functies:
- Opbouw en afbouw: ophangen van signing, aankleding, inrichten van festivallocaties
- Zaalwacht: scannen van tickets, inrichten van podium
- Sprekersbalie: ticketverkoop, mensen te woord staan bij vragen, gasten opvangen
- Publieksbegeleiding van diverse audioinstallaties en exposities.
- Bij A Mile in my Shoes, een kunstinstallatie in de vorm van een schoenenwinkel vol verhalen: mensen assisteren in de schoenenwinkel.
Beloning
- Als vrijwilliger werk je minimaal 2 shifts van 4 - 6 uur, tijdens je shift krijg je lunch of diner.
- Je hebt gratis toegang tot 2 programma’s van het gehele festival m.u.v. de Makers Dag op vrijdag.
- Je ontvangt 2 muntjes die je het hele weekend kan inzetten.
- Een introductie en briefing op locatie! (23 mei om 19:00 uur in de Brakke Grond, Nes 45, 1012 KD Amsterdam!)
- Toegang tot het toffe feest op 3 juni!

Are you eager to immerse yourself in the world of audio stories while getting your hands dirty? We welcome you with open arms to volunteer at the Oorzaken Festival 2023 from June 1 to 4 at the Flemish Culture House de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam!
Oorzaken International Podcast Festival
During the 4th edition of Oorzaken Festival you can listen to the finest podcasts, audio walks, listening installations and master classes together. In a theater, on a square, in the garden or while walking through the neighborhood. We expect an international audience of culture lovers, podcasters, writers, theater makers and casual passersby. We have put together a fantastic program around this year's festival theme: 'Opposites' in which we take the growing gap in society as our starting point. We will look for stories in which you are forced to empathize, stories in which opposites miraculously find each other or build a bridge. Audio stories that broaden rather than confirm visitors' horizons.
What
To make the festival possible, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers for the following positions, among others:
- Building up and taking down: hanging signage, decorating, setting up festival locations
- Hall watch: scanning tickets, setting up the stage
- Speakers desk: selling tickets, answering questions, welcoming guests
- Audience supervision of various audio installations and exhibits.
- At A Mile in my Shoes, an art installation in the form of a shoe store full of stories: assist people in the shoe store.
Compensation
- As a volunteer you work a minimum of 2 shifts of 4 - 6 hours, during your shift you get lunch or dinner.
- You have free access to 2 programs of the entire festival except the Makers Day on Friday.
- You will receive 2 tokens that you can use throughout the weekend.
- An on-site introduction and briefing! ((May 23 at 7 p.m. in the Brakke Grond, Nes 45, 1012 KD Amsterdam!))
- Access to the party on June 3!
