Volunteer Agreement with ArteSumapaz
This is an agreement between the Host: Fundación ArteSumapaz (ArteSumapaz), a non-profit foundation located in San Bernardo, Cundinamarca, Colombia, with NIT No.901275257-4, and Volunteer.

• the Volunteer wishes to experience a cultural approach to living and to get familiar with various methods of ecological, artistic and community practices in general, while voluntarily participating in the everyday chores and work taking place at ArteSumapaz;

• the Volunteer wishes to voluntarily offer work to ArteSumapaz, of their own free will, with no financial or other kind of remuneration, salary or reward;

• the Volunteer agrees to pay a $5 per day ($7 per day after 1 January 2024) donation to help cover the costs of food and service. If the volunteer is unable to pay this, please communicate directly with staff before arriving.

• the Volunteer is not a worker, nor do they substitute paid workers; no employment relationship, work or service contract, agency or apprenticeship, exists between ArteSumapaz and the Volunteer;

• ArteSumapaz will provide the Volunteer with friendly, safe and suitable accommodation and sufficient food  during their stay at ArteSumapaz.

• to the point that ArteSumapaz can, will help the Volunteer gain a practical experience and knowledge in various activities, however without providing any guarantee as to the amount, extend and quality of such experience and knowledge;

• the schedule of the Volunteer’s stay and of the voluntary activities in which they will participate in, as well as the way in which these activities will be executed, depends entirely on the arrangements made between ArteSumapaz and the Volunteer, always subject to the values and aims of voluntarism;

• ArteSumapaz is entitled to ask the volunteer to leave ArteSumapaz, giving them reasonable time to arrange their departure. If needed ArteSumapaz will assist with arranging transport to the nearest public transport or hostel. The Volunteer is entitled to leave the volunteer program and ArteSumapaz after having informed the Host.

Opportunity for Partial Volunteer/Artist Residency
In addition to our full-volunteer opportunities, artists/musicians/writers/makers can choose a partial volunteer, in which the work expectation is 2 hours a day for six days a week, along with the payment of a fee of $100 per week. This allows you to spend more time focused on your art, and helps us to maintain our operating costs.
