Galvanising means coating an iron (Fe) or steel object with a layer of zinc (Zn) to protect it from corrosion. Steel cans can also be coated with tin (Sn), also to protect it from corrosion, including fruit juices in 'tin' cans. When the zinc coating is scratched through to the iron underneath, the iron still does not corrode intially. However, if the tin surface is scratched through to the iron, the iron corrodes even faster compared to when there was no coating at. This means?
