1) One academic recommendation letter written by a college instructor (does not need to come from a PSU instructor) from a course you've taken recently. It's helpful if the instructor addresses your: academic abilities, moral character, leadership abilities, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and/or any other criteria that would make you likely to succeed in an honors program. The letter should be typed on department letterhead and signed, or submitted via email directly from the instructor to: tienjames@pdx.edu.

2) A resume that includes current and past work experiences, student organization or community involvement, volunteer work, and other achievements.

3) Transcripts documenting your grades from other institutions (any grades that are not reflected on your PSU DARS report).

4) A typed response to the following essay questions. If you are admitted to PSU University Honors College, you only need to answer the first two questions.

4.1 What are your academic and career goals? How do you think the School of Business Honors Program will help you reach those goals?

4.2 Describe any community service projects you have been involved in. What suggestions do you have for service projects here in the School of Business, and how would those projects be valuable to you and the SB?

4.3 Diversity is defined as “the condition of being different.” Often diversity is seen only as an issue of race or culture. Consider other aspects of diversity, and discuss what you bring to the diversity of the SBA Honors Program. Do you have anything you wish faculty members knew about diversity, inclusion, and equity in the classroom? Do you have any ideas for how the School of Business can advance diversity, inclusion, and equity in the classroom?
