The ONPPI is excited to participate in the 30th Anniversary of the Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration, and we need volunteers to help us celebrate. Volunteers are needed on the afternoon and evening of Friday, September 16th to check-in dinner guests at Macon's Terminal Station. Saturday and Sunday, volunteers will help welcome guests to the park and with ticket sales. The majority, if not all, of the volunteer tasks on Saturday and Sunday will take place outside. You can also sign up here to learn about potential volunteer opportunities in the future. Thank you for your interest and support!
The Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative is a community based group of Middle Georgia and Muscogee (Creek) citizens working together to expand the current site of the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park into Georgia's first National Park and Preserve. We encourage you to explore the Ocmulgee Mounds, Bond Swamp Wildlife Refuge, and the Ocmulgee River, which are jewels of history, culture, wildlife, and natural resources. Please visit our Facebook
