The
Living Miracles Monastery is a magical, reverent place where the rustic surroundings reflect the simplicity and stillness of our natural state of mind. The main Monastery buildings sit atop a 150-foot stone cliff wall, in the remote, mystical Strawberry River canyon in Duchesne County, Utah, two hours south-east of Salt Lake City.
Being high desert, the summer months are hot during the day and cool in the evenings (we have AC and heaters). It snows during the winter months.
The Monastery is comprised of mostly wooden buildings, including a gathering room, community kitchen, Main House (for residential overseers), a shared bunk house, bath house, a chapel, and several simple cabins. Our campground is nestled in the valley of the canyon below. Pathways are laid with gravel. Many buildings have steps, and the bunk rooms are up a flight of stairs.
Please note: The Monastery is not a suitable place to bring pets or young children.
