General Overview
  • In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the contest or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney's fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 
  • This is a 21 and over event. 
Contest Procedures and Rules
  • The contest is open to individuals aged 21 and over.
  • Contest will start Wednesday May 1, 2024
  • The competition will run for  (12) twelve consecutive Wednesdays.
  • Each week, one winner will be selected to advance to the semi-final round. 
  • Contestants who do not advance may re-enter week 2 - week 10
  • If you are a recording artist, or your vocals are a lead/duet on a track that was recorded and is for sale on any platforms such as iTunes Apple Music etc..  You are not eligible to be in this contest
  • It is okay if your vocals were a backup on a recorded track that is available for purchase
Time
  • 10 contestants will compete weekly.
  • Contest begins at 10 PM on Wednesday nights.
  • Contestants will check in by 9p
  • At check-in, contestants will drawl a number for performance order
  • Songs selected for performances must be general audience appropriate and free from profanity, racial slurs, and derogatory language. 
Voting and Judging
  • Weeks 1-11 is 100% audience vote via electronic devices 
  • During voting weeks 1-11 audience can vote as many times as they want to during the time frame that is given.
  • Week 12 will have a panel of judges (so make sure you can sing!) Judges will judge you on your vocals, stage presence, appearance and showmanship.  The crowd cannot help you win in WEEK 12.😊
  • Taqueria El Ranchero, Rich Tanuvasa @thekaraokedj and Koko Corpuz have absolutely no influence or is involved in the decision making of any outcomes in determining the winner in the rounds, semi-finals or finals.
  • Audience via electronic devices determines the winners of the rounds.
  • Audience will send the top 3 singers in the semi-finals to the champtionship / final round
  • Final 3 contestants will be asked to sing 2-3 songs each (subject to change)
  • Judges will determine the top 3 of the finals
  • These are the guidelines for determining who advances to the semi-finals, and judges determining who are the top 3 singers.  If these are unacceptable terms, we highlgy suggest you not enter.
Vocal Effects & Song Choices
  • Contestants will let the DJ know how they want their effects to sound
  • Song choice will be based on first to sign-up (first come first serve basis)
  • Contestants will be asked for 3 song choices (in case there's duplicates with other singers)
Disputes
  • Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Hawaii. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Hawaii, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Hawaii. 
Alternates
  • The determination for an alternate singer will be picked by the most votes a singer had that was not chosen to advance to the semi-finals
