Entering the School of Our Lives & Praying within the Church of Our Friends
with Thomas Merton as Mentor for Contemplative Practice
An Online Weekend Retreat with Jonathan Montaldo
Via Zoom
Saturday, May 1 - Sunday May 2, 2021
We will ruminate together over key texts from Merton’s private journals in order to provide a mirror and a window for our own contemplative practice, the disciplined inner work of entering the school of all our relations, and praying within the community of our life’s best friends. These texts offer vivid prompts for examining our grace-filled identities in Christ, while incarnating our own place in God’s “beloved community” in and through which, Merton insists “We are already one.”
