Welcome prospective volunteer!

Please read this page carefully and in its entirety as it contains information important to guide you through the completion of the volunteer form for OPF events at Gen Con Online 2023. Once the form is submitted, you will not have access to change your answers. Please be as accurate as possible. The last question on the form is a free-form field where you can add any additional information that should be considered regarding your interest in volunteering for Gen Con Online 2023.

This survey collects information for Organized Play Foundation participants interested in volunteering at Gen Con Online 2023. This information is necessary to process volunteer applications and must be complete and accurate. Information submitted on this form will be shared only with authorized members of the Organized Play Foundation (OPF), including the Director of the OPF and Organizing Committee members, as well as the Paizo Organized Play Coordinator (OPC).

All minors (age 13-17) require permission to volunteer from their parent/guardian in the form of a written email.  Prior to sending the permission email, the parent/guardian must contact the organizing committee at the email address indicated above. All minors interested in volunteering should keep this in mind.

Completion of this form does not indicate acceptance as a volunteer. Notifications will be sent directly to each potential volunteer advising them of their status, as well as instructions for following through with volunteering for the convention (schedule, processes, etc.).

We reserve the right to decline any volunteer or candidate application at our discretion.

All volunteers are expected to show up for all time slots as scheduled. We will not be collapsing tables before the show as all tables have paid tickets, which can be purchased all the way up to the slot start time. GMs that have tables that do not fire may be asked to assist with other convention-related tasks for the duration of the time they were scheduled, or forfeit rewards for that slot. This means that GMs will be held accountable should they no show a slot they were assigned regardless of ticket sales ahead of time, if they drop tables from a schedule after it has been assigned, or otherwise fail to follow through on the time commitment they have made to Gen Con Online 2023. This expectation is also true of any HQ volunteers. Failure to show up for a shift will result in the docking of rewards, up to and including the loss of Paizo vouchers, and PDF book rewards.

The committee will review your application and email you with further instructions. Please add genconleads@gmail.com to your email contacts to ensure you receive all correspondence. Failure to answer emails within 3 days will automatically result in a declined application, you will have to re-complete the entire process, and it may delay your ability to register for games.
