Dear Parents and Carers
RE: Swimming – Year 4

School have had no information on swimming lessons, however, in preparation for lessons resuming after the Summer holidays we are giving you the following information  -

Your child will be transported by bus to St Bede’s School in Heaton and will be given a 40 minute lesson each week.

Boys and Girls will have separate lessons and school staff will supervise the children.

Your child will have to bring with them:

A towel
A full swimming costume or burkini not a bikini for girls
Swim shorts (no longer than knee length for boys. A rash vest is optional
A swim cap will be provided by school. (Replacements are available from school if lost at a cost of £1.00 each).

Your child must take part in swimming lessons as they are part of the curriculum.

In preparation for swimming lessons, please take your child swimming if necessary, during the holidays.

Please complete the attached slip and return to school.
