LRC-South assessments may be requested by qualified NJ school personnel and Child Study Team members based on the requester's qualifications. Request must align with the NJ school and/or district need. Assessments will only be made available for a 72 hour period.

LRC-South assessments were purchased with IDEA, Part B funds by the LRC-South at Rowan University, a project of the NJDOE. The LRC-South does not conduct diagnostic or screening assessments. Requestor agrees to adhere to the proper use and prompt return of assessments and materials.

All assessment requests are subject to approval. Once your request is reviewed, you will be contacted via email.

A central principle of professional testing is that individuals should use only those tests for which they have the appropriate training and expertise, in accordance with the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing.

All requestees must have the appropriate credentials to meet the qualifications of the assessment requested, additional documentation may be requested.

Professional educator with valid NJ teaching certificate

Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in psychology, counseling, or a closely related field PLUS satisfactory completion of coursework in test interpretation, psychometrics and measurement theory, educational statistics, or a closely related area;

License or certification from an agency (such as ASHA, AOTA, AERA, ACA, AMA, CEC, AEA, AAA, EAA, NAEYC, NBCC) that requires appropriate training and experience in the ethical and competent use of psychological tests.

Master's degree in Education, Psychology, SLP, OT, Social Work, Counseling, or in a field closely related to the requested assessment, and trained in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments.

Formal, supervised mental health, SLP, OT, Social Work, Counseling and/or educational training specific to assessing children, or in infant and child development, and formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments.

Doctorate degree in Education, Psychology, or a closely related field with formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments.

A degree or license to practice in a physical or mental health care profession, plus training and experience in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical behavioral assessments.
