NASA NGS 101 Educator Workshop

The NASA STEM Engagement Educator Professional Development (EPD) team is hosting an in-person Next Gen STEM (NGS) 101 Educator Workshop August 22, 2024, at the Challenger Learning Center of Maine. Teachers, 5th-8th, in STEM subject areas are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to learn about NASA-specific resources, develop practical skills in implementing NASA STEM activities, gain insights into strategies for effectively implementing science and engineering practices in classrooms, and network with other teacher from across the community. A limited number of spots are available.
This EPD is FREE and contact hours are available for participants.
Applicant Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- 5th-8th teacher in a STEM subject area(s)
- Attend and participate in the duration of the in-person workshop
- Complete pre- and post-workshop requirements if selected:
- Attend pre-workshop webinar and complete a logistics form
- Complete a pre- and post-workshop survey
- Sign up for NASA STEM Gateway
- Join the NASA CONNECTS Community of Practice in NASA STEM Gateway
- Share an implementation plan for using NGS activities with your students
