PollinaTerps 2023 Bee Campus Interest Form
PollinaTerps is a collective group of University of Maryland students, staff, faculty, and local scientists working together to support native pollinators, bees, and their habitats on campus, and in our communities.

This year we are working to achieve "Bee Campus USA"🐝 distinction for the University of Maryland! We hope to build a strong coalition towards this goal.

Our goal is to increase numbers of important native pollinators and bees on campus and in our communities by increasing and enhancing available pollinator habitat. We aim to create an Pollinator Conservation Action Plan to help our campus better support pollinators through native plant landscapes, pollinator gardens, and protecting wildflower populations on campus.

We are forming strategic partnerships across departments and student groups to help us achieve these goals.

I am interested in serving on the PollinaTerps Committee to help the University of Maryland:

1)Become a Certified Bee Campus
2)Develop a Pollinator Conservation Action Plan with landscape enhancement recommendations.
3)Collaborate on advocacy and outreach about pollinators, habitats, and native/host plants they rely on.

This committee would include staff, faculty, and student representation from across the University.

Meetings would be held over Zoom and occasionally in-person, such as organized field trips across campus.

I would be interested in volunteering in pollinator gardens on campus at least once.  Volunteers could help with plantings, weeding, or learn about plants and pollinators from horticulturalist, and other interested individuals. *
