Oregon Intervention System for Parents
OIS for Parents is for families supporting children and adults in the home with potentially challenging behaviors. Anyone that is paid to provide support in the home cannot attend this class and must attend an OIS G-Level class. If you are not sure if you qualify, or have questions about the fee, please contact us at info@communitypath.org. Scholarships may be available.

This class includes:
  • An introduction to Positive Behavior Support
  • Assessing the reasons why challenging behavior occurs
  • Strategies for working through power struggles, conflict, and stress
  • Developing your own personalized stress-management plan
  • Reasonable responses to challenging behavior in crisis situations including how to intervene safely when there is an emergency
  • Opportunity for discussion and questions
