New Students: Fall or Spring Arrival Survey
This form is for new students who will start Pratt by attending full-time online classes in Fall 2020 from abroad and join Pratt in-person in Spring 2021. If you already know you will be taking the Fall 2020 semester online from your home country and plan to arrive for the Spring 2021 semester, please submit this form to have your I-20 start date adjusted.

Spring semester classes are scheduled to begin January 19, 2021. Your SEVIS ID would remain the same when we change your I-20 start date to Spring, so you can keep any standing visa appointment you may have scheduled at the consulate. You may arrive up to 30 days before the start date if you receive an updated I-20 for Spring arrival and have a valid F-1 Visa. Mid-semester entry to the U.S. is NOT an option for new students with initial I-20s, due to the I-20 start date being fixed at the beginning of the semester.

Please contact OIA@pratt.edu with any questions and make sure to read our website for additional information:
www.pratt.edu/student-life/student-affairs/office-of-international-affairs/ Thank you.

Note: if you wish to defer your admission to start at Pratt in a future semester and will not be attending at all (in any format) in Fall 2020, please do NOT complete this form. You will need to contact OIA and complete the deferral eForm. If you have already completed the deferral eForm through admissions, you should also NOT complete this form.

Do you want OIA to update your initial I-20 start date now to accommodate an in-person arrival for Spring 2021 instead of Fall 2020? *
Is there anything else you would like OIA to know about your situation? For example, if you have a visa/consulate appointment date, when/where is it scheduled? Are you a new student expecting to travel to campus from abroad with a valid visa, are not subject to the travel ban, and have at least one hybrid class or are you working with your advisor register for a hybrid class?
If you requested your updated I-20 for Spring, please expect at least 3 weeks for processing. The new I-20 will be emailed to you. Thank you for your patience!  If you requested to keep your I-20 for Fall for now, and later change your mind to come for Spring, please email us at oia@pratt.edu, since this form can be completed just once.
