Description: Presented by Naomi McKinney with McKinney Psychology, this session is intended for Health Professionals, Educators, Social Workers, Service Providers, Family Members, Coaches, Mentors, Elders and any basically anyone interested in knowing how to access mental health counselling and supports through NIHB and FNIHB.  Many people know that counselling is part of the medicine chest clause and is free for Indigenous Peoples.  However, they may not be sure how to access it.  This session walks through the programs, crisis services, help lines and sources of funding available to support mental health.  It also provides the best ways to find a psychologist that is best fit for the situation at hand.  You will definitely want to keep this presentation at your fingertips so you can easily help others find free counselling services when the need arises.
