CCIN Microgrants - Expression of Interest
NEW: INCREASED REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNTS - Up to $400 for successful proposals!

Thanks for your interest in our microgrants program! We're excited to hear proposals of all kinds for events, activities and initiatives that activate members of the Columbia community to engage creatively and imaginatively with issues around climate change.

We review and evaluate proposals on a rolling basis, so once you've got your idea started, get in touch using this form.

As some examples:
- you might like to run a climate change photography exhibition in your department, and you would like support to cover the cost of photo printing;
- you might like to organise a workshop on climate change zine making, and you would like support to hire a facilitator;
- you might like to organise a theater visit and post-show discussion for an off-Broadway climate play, and you would like support to subsidise the cost of tickets;
- you might like to run a salon-style dinner at Columbia to bring folks together from different departments for a storytelling evening, "the Moth" style, and you would like support to subsidise the cost of food;
- or something else entirely! We're open to all kinds of proposals and suggestions.

We can offer reimbursements of up to $400 to successful applications, to help you offset the cost of your activity, resource, or event. In exceptional circumstances we may have flexibility to offer more, especially if this will mean you are able to partner with other organisations/supporters on campus. If this applies to you, please get in touch.

The fine print: we can't fund projects that are being undertaken for course credit, and we'll ask for a short (one page) report to acquit the grant before we process the reimbursement. Depending on the activity or event, we'll also ask to work with you to make sure it reaches a broad and diverse audience at Columbia.

Complete the form below in as much detail as you can to register your interest and get your application started. If you're unsure about some questions or would like to discuss options, feel free to note that down.

For any questions, feel free to email CCIN Founding Convener, Ben Mylius, at b.mylius@columbia.edu.
