안녕하세요, 서던캘리포니아대학 (University of Southern California)에서 커뮤니케이션학 박사과정 공부를 하고 있는 김도온 (Do Own (Donna) Kim)이라고 합니다.

연구 내용: 본 인터뷰는 게이 데이팅 어플 이용에 관한 학술 연구입니다. 현대 한국 미디어환경에서의 성소수자들의 일상을 이해하고자 연구를 시작하게 되었습니다. 본인의 이용 경험에 관해 연구자와 대면 또는 음성/영상통화로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하게 됩니다. 따로 준비하실 것은 없고, 그냥 재밌게 수다떤다는 마음으로 편안하게 이야기해주시면 됩니다.^^
참가 대상1: 서울에서 게이 데이팅 어플 또는 성지향성 포용적 데이팅 어플을 이용한 경험이 있고 스스로를 게이, 바이, 퀴어 남성 또는 그 스펙트럼에서 정의하는 20대, 30대
참가 대상2: 데이팅 어플 이용 경험이 없는 스스로를 게이, 바이, 퀴어 남성 또는 그 스펙트럼에서 정의하는 20대, 30대
*연구 규모 상 부득이하게 연구 대상을 제한하게 된 점 양해부탁드립니다.

소요 시간: 약 40 ~ 60분 (개인차가 있을 수 있습니다)
장소/방법: 대면 (서울, 합의된 장소; 7말 부산 가능), 보이스톡, 스카이프 등 음성/영상 통화
보상: 8,000원
*귀중한 도움을 정확하게 반영하기 위한 녹취록 작성을 위해 인터뷰는 음성 녹음될 예정입니다.
*신변 보호를 위해 녹취록 및 연구 결과물에서 모든 인물은 익명 처리가 됩니다.
*시간, 장소 등은 최대한 참가자분의 스케줄에 맞추어 조정할 예정입니다.

Hello, I am Do Own Kim (Do Own (Donna) Kim), a Communication Ph.D. student at the University of Southern California.

Study Content: I am looking for in-depth interview participants for a study on gay dating app use. This study aims to contribute to our understanding of sexual minorities’ everyday lives and experiences in Korea’s contemporary media environment. We can meet in person or voice/video call. You don't need to prepare anything; simply chat with me about your use/non-use experiences as if you are casually talking to your friend.

Eligibility for participation:
1. People in their 20s - 30s who identify as gay, bisexual, or queer man and have used gay dating apps or inclusive dating apps in Seoul. Residing in or have lived in Korea.
2. People in their 20s - 30s who identify as gay, bisexual, or queer man who have NOT used dating apps in Seoul. Residing in or have lived in Korea.
* Due to limited resources, this project unfortunately had to narrow eligibility criteria. I ask for your kind understanding on this matter.

Time: 40–60 minutes (may vary)
Place: In-person (Seoul; Busan if late July), voice or video call (e.g. cellular, kakao, skype, whatsapp, Skype etc)
Compensation: 8,000 won
*In order to accurately reflect your valuable contribution, the interview will be voice-recorded for transcription with your consent.
*All individuals will be pseudonymized in the transcript and study write-ups.
*Time and place/means of communication will be decided at your convenience.
