C-WC Unit #5 District Survey for 3rd Quarter Instruction
Please complete one form for each student that you have enrolled by December 11, 2020.

The second quarter for the Carmi-White County Unit #5 School District ends on December 18th. In order to plan for the third quarter, we are asking parents to pick their third quarter instructional option for their student(s) at this time.  

In-person instruction is highly encouraged. Please check your student's current grades before making this decision. The district is very concerned that many students who have chosen the remote option are not engaging and are at risk of failing. This could result in grade level retention and/or lack of high school credits towards graduation. Remote learning is rigorous, time consuming, and assignments are graded. If you choose the remote option, you will be asked to stay in this setting until March 5th.

We are proud of our community and C-WC #5 family for being able to provide in-person instruction. We would like to remind families that we will continue to educate our students face-to-face as long as we can, but we can only do so with the help of our families. Please keep students at home until they are 48 hours symptom free without medication. If anyone living in your home is tested for COVID, please quarantine all members of the home until the results come back. Have the doctor’s office fax the school a copy of the results. The district website (www.carmischools.org) is updated when there is a positive COVID case in the district. This information can be accessed by clicking on the Coronavirus tab. This holiday season, please continue following the guidelines set before us and remain vigilant for our students, our families, our community and ourselves.
