HOW DOES VOLUNTEERING WORK?
We truly cannot express how grateful we are for every person that volunteers for Rambling Peaks Festival. As a very small team of THREE, having incredible humans like you donate their time to this festival really is the only way we could continue!

This year we've decided to have the festival for one day, and that means there's less time needed for volunteers! :-)

For every 3-4 hour shift worked, you will receive:
  • A ticket to the festival for yourself (so that you can enjoy ALL that we have to offer outside of your volunteer hours!)
  • 50% off one other ticket for a friend or family member!
  • 25% off all merch!
  • 1 beer ticket per shift.

ROLE DESCRIPTIONS.

Marketing

  • Distribute flyers and postcards throughout our communities:
    • Bishop/Big Pine
    • Lone Pine/Independence
    • Mammoth Lakes/Tom's Place
    • June Lake
    • Lee Vining/Mono City/Bridgeport
  • Help organizers assemble badges, signage, merchandising, etc.
  • Possibly more jobs as we get closer!

Set up

  • Help set up the perimeter, stage, and tents.
  • Put up signage around the perimeter.
  • Must be able to lift around at least 40 pounds.

Info Booth Team

  • Answer questions about the festival + market.
  • Sell merchandise.
  • Sell tickets + distribute wristbands.
  • *Must be comfortable operating in a POS system to charge cards.

Wild Together Market Team

  • Walking around the market, greeting guests, and directing guests to the market booths, drinks, and food.
  • Monitor activity at our community market; report any suspicious behavior to our security team.
  • Help festival staff announce and monitor guests when the market closes to the public and enter the private festival event.

Gate Team

  • Check-in festival attendants by verifying valid ID at the gate for every person before distributing a wristband.
  • Be comfortable smiling, expressing your stoke for the festival, and effectively communicating with the public.
  • *Must be comfortable operating in a POS system to ring up cash AND cards.

Clean + Green Team

  • Pick up trash.
  • Empty trash cans when they are full.
  • Help us keep this event green!

Security Team

  • Monitor entrances + watch for invalid entries.
  • Have capacity to implement policies with strangers.
  • Keep an eye on anyone not wearing wristbands.

Beer Tent Team

  • Pour beer, refill water glasses, sell non-alcoholic drinks.
  • *Must be comfortable operating in a POS system to ring up cash AND cards.

Tear Down

  • Help tear down stage, tents, etc.
  • Help take gear to storage.

PLEASE NOTE.

A few things for you to keep in mind as you register.

  • Please be prepared for sun exposure and chances for high heat. Last year it was 86 degrees by noon on Saturday during the market. We hope it will be cooler than that this year, but obviously we don't know what will happen. BE PREPARED WITH:
    • Sunscreen
    • Sun shirts/hats/layers
    • BYOB: bring your own bottle - for water! We will have a refill station available.
    • Hydration packets, if that's something you use.
  • Wear appropriate shoes for being on your feet for a few hours. Some volunteer roles may involve sitting at times, some may not.

We will send you a waiver to sign once you are assigned to a position.
