St. Ronan's Band Camp | 9-11 August 2022 | Enrolment

Aims: To…
• HAVE FUN PLAYING MUSIC!
• Give all young players/returners the opportunity to play over a concentrated period
• Build a musical community
• Reduce the traditional summer “break in learning”
• Introduce the idea of Band Camp as a precursor to SBBBA Workshops, NYBBS, etc
• Open to all Tweeddale brass/percussion pupils and beyond!

Dates/Times: 9-11 Aug, 10.00am-3.30pm, with a Showcase on Thu 11 Aug at 4.30pm

Where: Church of Scotland, Leithen Road, Innerleithen.

Who (Students): All young players /returners within the St. Ronan’s organisation, viz. pBuzzers, Training Band, Drum School, Future Band PLUS all young players/returners in the wider area.

What: 1-1 tuition, small group and larger ensemble playing. Entire course free of charge.

Who (Leaders): Keith Belleville (Teacher/Course Leader); Stuart Black (Guest Conductor/Instrumental Instructor); Fiona Neary (Percussion Tutor), Zoë Galbraith (pBuzz Tutor/Pianist), Mark Cockburn (House Staff/helper).

Safeguarding:
• All leaders will have an up to date PVG.
• St. Ronan’s Silver Band Child Protection Policy & Procedures will be in force throughout the event.
• House staff volunteers will be in attendance throughout the event.
• All permissions will be sought and agreed with parents/carers in advance.
