Early Graduation Application 2021-2022
REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant must make the necessary plans to fulfill the early graduation regulations below. To qualify for early graduation and to receive a diploma, an individual must complete both the local and the State Department of Education's graduation requirements.

Early graduation is only permitted after the end of the Fall Term of the senior year.  Students may not graduate in less than 3.5 years of high school.

Some senior honors and scholarships may not be available to early graduates because of the impossibility of meeting certain requirements due to not being in the high school in the Spring.

ITEMS TO CONSIDER:

*  Class Rank is subject to change after early graduation based on changes in other student's grade points.
*  Concurrent enrollment is not available in the spring semester to early graduates.  You must be an active SHS student to be eligible for concurrent enrollment.
* If enrolling as a full time freshman at OSU in January, OSU scholarships may still be available; however, they will be awarded based on money that remains from that school year.
*  Loss of involvement in daily senior high school activities.
*  Inability to hold an elected school or club office

REQUIREMENTS:
*  Student must meet all state and local graduation requirements.
*  Student may only take one English class per school year.
*  A student approved for early graduation may not accept any school offices, elected or appointed, during the school year in which the student plans to graduate.
*  Official diplomas will only be granted and dated at the end of the school year.
*  Students must be fully enrolled (4 blocks) for the fall semester.

Your completed application will be reviewed by your Counselor and Principal for approval.  You will be notified through school email within 5 school days.
