2021 August Lockdown information - digital devices, 'paper packs' and essential workers
Kia ora UHS families,
I want to assure you that I do not have any more information than you do about possible changes to lockdown levels, but I am wanting to 'be prepared' for a potential extension of the current lockdown, or a move to another lockdown level. The following information will help us to best provide the 'right resources' for your children and their learning. I am asking every parent to let us know if their children would require:
* a digital device to help with their learning
* a 'paper pack' which has some paper based learning for those who do not have stable internet or would prefer 'paper learning'
* if parents are essential workers and their child would need to come to school IF we were to move into Level 3 at some stage in the future
If you could all please fill out this form asap (and before Monday morning). At this stage, depending on the information from the 3pm update today, some staff will go into school on Monday to start organising the devices and learning packs. I am currently waiting for further instructions from the Ministry of Education as to how these devices and packs could be delivered/ picked up safely and in a contactless way. We only have a limited number of devices, so I cannot guarantee we will have enough for everyone, but we will do our very best.
All classroom teachers will be in touch with every family on Monday morning, if the lockdown continues, with information about distance learning for your child.
Many thanks for this information,
Kindest regards,
Jo Grant
