The Toronto Flea 2024 Vendor Application

Only candidates who read the below information properly will be considered. It is very obvious if you skim the below so take a deep breath. We believe in you. If you have any questions beyond the below please contact hello@torontoflea.com and we will be happy to answer you - however, a lot of the answers should be below.

Thank you for your interest in The Toronto Flea, previously named The Leslieville Flea. We are the oldest vintage and handcrafted market in Toronto and we aim to only accept vendors who sell vintage, handcrafted, local or limited edition items.  We do not accept vendors who sell mass produced or imported goods*.  We try to maintain a balance of goods at all of our markets and choose vendors accordingly for each market.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY UNTIL WE CONFIRM THERE IS A SPOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR CATEGORY - We will follow up for payment once you are confirmed.

PREVIOUSLY VENDING or APPLYING BELOW DOES NOT GUARANTEE PARTICIPATION. UNTIL YOU HAVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM US YOU DO NOT HAVE A SPOT.  PLEASE BE PATIENT AS IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO BALANCE EACH MARKET.

NEW INFO THIS SEASON: Our business strategy this season is less is more. It is our goal to continue to support our insanely talented vendors and we will do so by remaining flexible and riding the wave that is global events and our economy. With the country and community demonstrating spending at an all time low - The Toronto Flea as a business must respond and do our part. We had over a dozen markets last season and while it was an amazing ride - we learned so much and are prepared to take those key learnings and apply it for a 2024 season surrounding a very special word ... anticipation. Our Ashbridge Estate market is the most popular market within the east side of Toronto. Last year, we hosted 50 vendors and over 3,000 attendees at our inaugural event and are proud to say that we had a vendor wait list every month. We could easily then host our market every weekend at the same location but alas - that is not how our community likes to spend their money - and boy - our community likes to spend, shop small + support local. After all, our goal is for YOU to make more money than your sales goal.

It's true - we have popped up in other locations other than our hallmark staple and have had great success, however taking into account the balance of quality, quantity and economics we feel this the right decision for this season.

So what can you expect? More sunshine, live music, beer + incredible sales. We will be centering ourselves around our home - The Ashbridge Estate and we are excited and over the moon to focus on delivering a destination event each month from June to October with the exception of August (a key month where families in the east end vacate Toronto). Expect more gift guides, inclusion + highlights of our vendors incredible works, influencer / creator partnership(s) and so much more to promote this season.

A big thank you to those who have supported us to get here and trust us as a partner in your business. We see you. We love you. We are ready for 2024, baby.

PLEASE NOTE:
All of our markets during the summer are outdoors therefor by applying to this market you confirm you understand that we are rain or shine event and that it is your responsibility as a vendor to provide your own tent, mandatory weights (40lbs total) for tents, tables, garbage and/or any other equipment. By filling out this form you are agreeing to understanding these terms and are in no way in a position to request a refund should these terms be ignored.

We understand and want each of you to thrive this season - while inflation is at an all time high we are trying our best to manage costs so they do not impact you. Sizes of booths for ALL MARKETS are per day/market and are as follows:

  • LARGE BOOTH - 10'x10' - $185 PER DAY + PER MARKET (THIS FEE INCLUDES HST)
  • SMALL BOOTHS - 5'x10' - $145 PER DAY + PER MARKET (THIS FEE INCLUDES HST)
**NEW** Hours of the market will be confirmed with your payment however, the below is within reason of timing.

Set Up: 9:00/9:30-11:00am
Run time: 11:00am-5:00pm-ish
Take down: 5:00pm-6:00pm

NOTE:  IF YOU ARE BOOKING A SMALL BOOTH THIS WILL NOT FIT A 10'x10' TENT.  IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING A LARGE 10'x10' TENT IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER YOU MUST PAY FOR A FULL SPOT.  A half booth is approx. 5'x10'. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS AT THIS MARKET.  We cannot fit larger tents into smaller spots on the day of the market (it creates a lot of unnecessary stress and maneuvering) and it's not fair to those who have paid for a full spot. By choosing a 5'x10' booth you are agreeing to the above terms.

We cannot wait for an amazing 2024 season and look forward to supporting, creating and cultivating an amazing market season with you. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication and excitement for this season. We see you and appreciate all your energy. Here's to 2024!
