I understand that a physical is required before the first practice to participate in cross country. Starting this year McCord will be utilizing finalforms for all physicals. Paper copies will no long be accepted. See link below for directions. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IYZlSIXMJm48mFF-9NaquYNpe4YzcGQ7/view?usp=sharing *
In order to be successful at cross country an athlete needs to be at all practices. If you expect to run at meets you understand that you are expected to be at all practices. We will have practice 5-6 days a week. Missing for another sport will not be allowed. Just like any other team we are looking for 100% commitment. Here is a tentative schedule. Please keep in mind this is a working document and there could be changes. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10e0KK_PlC-_KBNaKhBTQPkUIJJuECkC-9hFET2cg0yc/edit?usp=sharing *
Have you signed up for the teams remind? Text the message @mccord2021 to 81010 or go to this link: remind.com/join/mc2021 *
A wrist watch is highly required for both XC and track. This does not have to fancy or expensive, I would advice against a GPS watch at this time. A simple Timex for $20 will work just fine. *
The coaching staff is providing a summer running schedule and the option for group runs. The optional group runs are completely up to parents and only for McCord athletes. Dates will be email soon, but likely Tuesday and Thursday morning in June at 8AM behind Stranahan Elem. After the 4th of July Holiday we will add additional days. It is very important that runners run over the summer. Waiting until August 2nd will not help anyone. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nux1jSpRgv9PNESVjK_EV7cm6E3KxARm/view?usp=sharing *
