Disaster Relief Team - Volunteer Enrollment
Humanity First Disaster Relief Teams serve individuals and communities impacted by natural or man-made disasters around the world following the internationally recognized standards outlined by the Sphere project in ‘Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response’ handbook.
HF Disaster Relief focuses on disaster readiness and mitigation, disaster relief and post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction. We aim to minimize human suffering and material losses by working in collaboration with host governments, humanitarian agencies, civil society organizations and local communities.
By enrolling as a volunteer with Humanity First Disaster Relief team, I confirm the following:
"I hereby offer myself to volunteer for Humanity First and I am ready to go to disaster struck areas for rapid humanitarian response. I understand the risks and dangers of working in such areas. I hereby declare that I will not hold Humanity First responsible for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly due to training or volunteering with Humanity First. I am fully responsible for my actions.
I hereby confirm that all visits (deployments) on behalf of humanity first will be purely for humanitarian purposes and I will not engage in any business that may conflict the interest of Humanity First or jeopardize donations or the relief effort. I also confirm that I will NOT consume any alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicants during the training or during any relief mission.
I understand that my deployment is dependent on my availability therefore, at the time of need, I will try my best to be available but that may not be guaranteed.
By completing this form, I agree to the above and all policies and procedures of Humanity First"
