At Global Minimum Inc. (GMin) we believe in the limitless potential of youth as innovators, problem-solvers and transformative leaders. GMin's InChallenge program is a national innovation challenge for youth aged 13-20 that aims to support young leaders in conceptualizing their innovative ideas into tangible solutions through a series of workshops on innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship and technical mentorship. By tapping into the pool of young innovators, we aim to catalyze a culture of innovation through hands-on problem-solving.
The COVID-19 global pandemic has affected people in profound ways pushing communities to rethink their way of life and establish new and innovative approaches that are resilient and inclusive. Aside from the direct impact on public health, the crisis has had severe repercussions in other sectors and thus affecting our way of life.
GMin is seeking submissions of innovative ideas from youth aged 13-20 which address challenges that have been amplified by COVID-19. The focus areas for the RE-Imagine challenge are Health Care, Gender Equality, Peace & Justice and Water & Sanitation. 12 finalists teams will be selected by our judges to participate in our virtual innovation boot camp in November 2020. The deadline for submitting this application is 15th October 2020.

Has the team explained how they know that they are addressing a genuine need of the community they are serving? How will it affect the people for whom it is intended and how much of an impact will it have? Has the team considered any additional effects of their work – for instance, longer-term application to other communities, benefits of their research to others working in the field?
3.Feasibility
How convincing are the initial planning and work the team has already done? How detailed and realistic are the implementation plan and project timeline? Has the team convincingly outlined how they intend to address the challenges they will face in developing this project?
4. Sustainability
Is this a time-defined project or do they plan to scale over time? Do they have a plan to ensure the sustainability of the project? Will it survive beyond the initial funding? If yes, what are their ideas and vision for long-term sustainability?
If your team doesn't make it to the innovation camp, you will receive feedback from our judges on how you can improve your idea!
***The dates for the Innovation Camp will be announced later. If selected, make sure that you and your team will commit to attending the virtual Innovation camp.
