Registration - Christian Compassion: Helping Our Children Faithfully Navigate a Broken World
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City on Saturday, February 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Rev. Michael Salemink, executive director of Lutherans for Life, will be leading a 3-part presentation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City on Saturday, February 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (lunch provided). Rev. Salemink will lead discussion on the challenges our Christian youth face with regard to gender and sexuality issues and how to lovingly and compassionately be a faithful parent and friend. In his 3-part discussion, Rev. Salemink will present: 1. God’s wish for us: a sexually pure and decent life, which ultimately delivers joy and peace. “Since the Sexual Revolution of the 70s, a lot of people simply don’t know the good things that are available. They’ve only witnessed brokenness in their own families and lives.” 2. An in-depth overview of what research is showing about alternative lifestyles: “We’ll go over 6 Myths of Sexualtiy and Gender and what the sociological data and research shows. There’s a lot of misinformation out there.” 3. Advice and “Directions You Can Go” when encountering these situations with family and friends. “The goal of the Gospel is to bring them into contact with the God who gives them all good things, including ways to have a good life.” Parents and grandparents, this is a topic you need to be knowledgeable about so you can guide and defend your children. Bring your teen kids along! Lots of time for questions and answers.
