To audition for Melody Lane Performing Arts Center's Junior Theater Festival Team, please fill out the below form. -This audition is for a spot on the team only, not casting for the fall production.

AUDITIONS ARE NOW BY VIDEO SUBMISSION ONLY and due FRIDAY, JULY 10TH

Zoom Choreo Session with Miss Sami- Wednesday, July 8th, 4:00-5:30pm
We will send you the link week of. Everyone who can is encouraged to log on and learn the combination as a group with Miss Sami.

To audition, students must:
*Prepare 30-60 seconds of a musical theater song for a vocal audition
*Study the dance audition video and video it
*Turn in the Audition form, page 5 of the Info Packet

Video Tips:
*Record a full body shot so we can see your whole performance
*Introduce yourself and your material at the beginning of the video
*Sing loud and clear, and face the camera
*Save the vocal and dance auditions separately so the file isn't as long.
*Saving in google drive is an easy way to share the link, as video files tend to be pretty large.

The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the world’s biggest and best celebration of young people performing musical theater. JTF brings together musical theater troupes from around the world for a weekend of musical mayhem and madness. Troupes perform 15 minutes from a Broadway Junior show for adjudication by a panel of musical theater experts. The weekend also features professional development and workshops for teachers and students, a New Works Showcase featuring new musical adaptations soon to be released, and concludes with a grand finale concert headlined by Broadway’s Best. Melody Lane will take 15 minutes of material from the brand new title: MATILDA JR, our Fall Musical
• Academy B- 12th Grade and Below- NEW category for us
• Auditioning Grades 3rd-12th (younger students should be experienced & mature)
• For the first time, students are not required to be in the fall production to be on the team, but we do recommend it

To Be on the Team, Students Must:

*Audition
*Have no conflicts with Wednesday night rehearsals, 5:00pm-9:00pm, December-January, and Friday choreography for 4:00-6:30pm as needed.
*Be able to financially afford the trip and team expenses and/or be willing to fundraise
