Em-Cats CT 2024 Application Form
This form accepts applications for the Emerging Researchers in Category Theory (Em-Cats) program, hosted by Eugenia Cheng and Topos Institute.

This year, the Em-Cats program offers talk preparation assistance to graduate students and early researchers giving talks accepted to The International Category Theory Conference (CT 2024) held the 23rd–29th of June, 2024, at Santiago de Compostela.

Applicants accepted to the Em-Cats program will have a one-hour virtual meeting with Eugenia Cheng, during which they will practise their CT 2024 talk and get Eugenia's feedback. The meetings will likely be on the 17th and 19th of June. Participants must send their draft slides to Eugenia at least 48 hours before their meeting or the meeting will be cancelled. Participants should take Dr Cheng's Em-Cats Guidelines taken into consideration: https://topos.site/em-cats/assets/emcats-guide2023.pdf. Note that while not all talks at the conference have to be on slides, we will only be offering assistance for slide talks.

Please fill out this form if you'd like to apply for Dr Cheng's assistance. Anyone who considers themselves an early research is welcome to apply, but priority may be given to current graduate students who have not previously participated in Em-Cats.  Applications close on Monday the 3rd of June, and participants will be selected by Friday the 7th of June.
