Observed on 4 February, the International Day of Human Fraternity (
https://www.un.org/en/observances/human-fraternity) was established by the UN General Assembly, through Resolution 75/200, in order to promote dialogue between members of every faith and an awareness of the common values shared by all humankind.
As people of faith, we unite our voices on the occasion of the first International Day of Human Fraternity, to issue a plea for preserving our shared humanity. We express concern over the insidious development of weapons systems that lack meaningful human control and undermine the possibility of harmonious coexistence.
