ABOUT OUR EVENT:
Every organization needs to have a clear brand identity to be able to bring its message across to the community. In this workshop, we take you through the steps of building a brand identity and how to use it to have a strong social media presence. No prior experience needed.

LOGISTICS:
Girl Genius is holding free virtual workshops and panels by female change-makers worldwide. One hour before the workshop, attendees with be emailed the meeting information. Individuals who have not signed up for the respective workshop or panel will not be able to attend the virtual event.

WHAT IS GIRL GENIUS:
Girl Genius is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by aspiring girls in STEAM which provides a platform for girls to learn about accomplished women in STEAM, showcase their projects, as well as connect with girls nationwide.  Since 2018, our initiative seeks to ensure females (non-binary and trans-inclusive) and people of color are given a voice through our three mediums: magazine issues, blog posts, and YouTube videos.

MEET OUR WORKSHOP LEADER: KRISTINE RACELIS
With eight years of combined experience as a community manager, Kristine likes to call herself a "professional social media nut." An avid user of Canva since the very beginning, she has created content for a diverse roster of brands before settling down at the company behind her favorite platform.

MEET OUR WORKSHOP HOST/COORDINATOR: Abby Fischler
Abby is a rising high school freshman who is passionate about STEM. This summer she was a KWK web dev scholar and took a Python Coding and Intro to Machine Learning course. She knows HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and some Java. She is also on Girl Genius Social Media and Partnerships team. As she is an active user of Canva herself, she wanted to organize a Canva workshop for her passion project! Connect with her on Instagram @abby_fischler.
