This is a binding legal agreement.  As a Participant in the programs, activities and events of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge of Performing Arts Inc.) the undersigned acknowledges and agrees to the following policies, terms and conditions. 

The Edge School of Performing Arts regularly revisit our School Policies and make revisions to make sure they meet the needs of our growing community. Updates are outlined on the Registration form and website TheEdgePA.ca.

Student Information, Camp Selection Date & Registration Form is to be submitted to register for Summer Camps.

Admin Fee is due per Summer Camp Registration Form submission.

Registration Process: 

*All Registrations are First Come First Serve 

1. Submit Registration Form 

2. When The Edge Admin Team Accounting Department receives the form, an invoice via Square will be emailed

3. Submit Payment

*Remember - Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received*

Spaces are NOT GUARANTEED until payment is received. Payment must be received within 24 hours of receiving the invoice. 

If payment is not received within 24hours, invoice will be cancelled and your spot will be given to the next dancer registering for the program you selected.

Registration Parent/Guardian Policy: 2. Administration fee of is due at time of registration. Administration Fee is non refundable. Administration Fee covers the expense of crafts, record keeping, accounting, insurance, legal, camp supplies, cleaning supplies due to COVID-19 and other administrative costs. Admin fee is applied per registration form submitted, if you submit a second registration form for additional camp the admin fee will be applied. Administration fee is an additional $10 if registration is submitted the week before camp commences. Admin fee is applied per registration form submitted, if you submit a separate registration form for additional camp date the admin fee will be applied. 3. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. 5. Registration is accepted when Registration Form has been received and invoice has been paid. 11. There are no refunds or transfers of fees on any payments received by The Edge Performing Arts Inc. including the unused portion of a Camp Payment, Term Payment, Admin fee, Media fee, Missed classes, Choreography fees, Costume fee, Competition fees, Rehearsal fees, Dance gear and other Merchandise purchase or if Government/Public Health/School require the individual to self isolate/quarantine/vaccinate and as a result are not permitted to attend. 12. Campers are to be dropped off at 8:50am not earlier. Campers are to be picked up at 4:00pm. 13. Students age 4-9 must be able to enter classroom independently and able to put on their own shoes.  18. If you need to change a camp week a $45 administration fee will be applied if there is availability in that week. 21. Payment Policy: 1. Once registration form has been submitted and received, you will be emailed an invoice via Square 2. You can pay securely through the Square invoice that will been sent. Square accepts Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover credit cards and Visa debit cards. 3. No E-transfers 4. The Edge Admin Team Accounting Department system is programmed to close invoices by a set date and time. Summer Camp Cancellation Policy: 1.In the case you need to cancel you must submit your request to The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) by email to info@TheEdgePA.ca Once notice is received, full refund will be provided minus $50 cancellation fee per dancer plus a 3% processing fee. 2. If you need to cancel less than 1 week in advance of the camp start date a refund will be issued minus $75 cancellation fee per dancer plus a 3% processing fee.  3. If you need to cancel within 48 hours of the camp start date: no refund. 4. Administration Fee is non refundable. 6.  If you need to change a camp week a $45 administration fee per dancer will be applied if there is availability in that week. The administration fee covers the cost of readjusting the spot taken on the roster, the cost of readjusting the available spots on the website, processing the change of date for the camper and the cost of a spot taken when there is no guarantee the spot can be replaced.  Cancellation Policy Terms and Conditions of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) Classroom Code of Conduct 1. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.)  has the right to reserve and change the dance platform. 3. Respect for teachers, parents and peers will be expected at all times. 4. Respect others personal space. 5. Appropriate attire. 6. No swearing or foul language. 7. No cellphone use during class unless for medical reasons. 8. Parents/students do not interrupt classes while in progress. Please email info@TheEdgePA.ca if you have any questions. Illness Policy - Illness: 1. Students, siblings and household members are not to enter facility if feeling sick /unwell which include symptoms of RSV, runny/stuffy nose/ congestion/cold, cough, sore throat, headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, croup, strep throat, head lice, stomach bug, sinusitis or any contagious virus from 7 days of onset of symptoms.  When a Parent/Guardian/Dancer reports verbally or by email that they or a household member are not feeling well The Edge Admin Team will reply by email with a return date and follow The Edge School of Performing Arts illness & COVID-19 Prevention Measures. Negative COVID Test does not permit early return in order to eliminate the possibility of a false negative and to help stop the spread of COVID-19 2. Injury Policy :

When an injury/concussion/medical reason is reported to The Edge School of Performing Arts: Parent/Guardian is to follow these steps before your dancer returns to dance activity/classes/event:

Step 1: Medical Note of diagnosis is to be provided to The Edge Admin Team by email at info@TheEdgePA.ca.  Dancer can observe class when instructed to refrain from dance or physical activity. Observing class is counted as attendance. No make up classes, pro-rate fees or refunds for missed classes due to injury

Step 2: A Description of any restrictions or description of gradual return to dance advised by medical professional pertaining to dance activity is to be emailed to The Edge Admin Team at info@TheEdgePA.ca

Step 3: Submit The Edge School of Performing Arts Self-Attestation Form before dancer can return to participating in dance classes/activity.

For Concussion, The Edge School of Performing Arts return to Dance Self-Attestation Form will be need to be submitted to to The Edge Admin Team. 

The Edge Admin Team will provide the parent with a link to The Edge School of Performing Arts return to Dance Self-Attestation Form.

Virtual Lesson Policy: Lessons created by The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) Disclaimer and Safety Instructions: There are risks of injuries when you are taking these virtual/online lessons. Injuries such as, but not limited to, muscle ache, injured ankles and knees, cartilage and ligament damage. You are responsible for warming up your body and creating an environment suitable for your own safety and to prevent accidents . Incase of injury and/or material damage while doing these virtual/online classes you agree not to hold The Edge Performing Arts Inc. or employees responsible. Safety Instructions 1. Wear comfortable clothing 2. Create enough room space to move around 3. Do a warm up! Updates/Information/Communication Policy: 1. As always, we will share new information directly with parents by email from The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) theedgepa@icloud.com . We do not use social media sites to send out information or updates.  2. Questions can be sent to info@TheEdgePA.ca. replies are from The Edge Administrative Team. 3. Voicemail messages or text messages only receive an automated response.  For prompt reply email info@TheEdgePA.ca and The Edge Admin Team will be happy to assist you. 4.  If email response requires further assistance requiring more than two email responses, an email communication fee will apply. 5. The Edge Admin Team does not send out emails for personal requests to connect with other dance parents/guardians/dancers. Best way to connect with other dance parents/guardians is at drop off or pick up. 6. Questions for instructor are answered during class time only

School Closure Policy: Bad Weather: 1. Classes cancelled due to inclement or bad weather/climate crisis will not be made up. If studio is closed for reasons outside of our control, we are not obligated to have a make up class.  When The Edge School of Performing Arts is closed due to inclement weather, classes are cancelled and not moved to "virtual classroom"  2. Notifications of cancelled classes/day camps due to bad weather are sent via email from The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) email address theedgepa@icloud.com no later than 8:00am for day camps. For reasons out of our control, notifications such as sudden weather or sudden power outage, notification may be sent at time of camp. 3. Virtual Classroom: When classes are moved to "virtual classroom" and not able to be delivered virtually for reasons outside of our control, we are not obligated to have a make up class. When The Edge School of Performing Arts is closed due to inclement weather or reasons out of our control, classes are cancelled and not moved. 4. There are no refunds for cancelled classes for reasons outside of our control i.e. power outage, internet service down, inclement weather we are not obligated to have a make up class. 
Pandemic / Closure for reasons outside of our control:
1. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), can not refund tuition if forced to close due to an event out of their control ie. war, riots, pandemic, natural disaster, government restrictions, political protests, terrorism, power outage, climate crisis.  If classes are not able to be delivered virtually/online, a credit towards the customers account will be issued accordingly.

Photo Release Policy: 1. Occasionally The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), will post photographs and/or video of students on their website/social media/flyers/advertisements. I consent that they may do so for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation to my child or myself. If I do not wish for images of my child to be used, I must email info@TheEdgePA.ca with the subject Cancel Photo Release in the subject line. Please advise your child's name in the email. Families that cancel Photo Release by email should not participate in the class pictures taken throughout the year (i.e. parent viewing days, Halloween, Crazy Hair Day, Recital etc. as these photos WILL be posted). It is forbidden that any individual, corporation or organization to any way copy or use the photographs from the website for any purpose without the consent and written permission of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) 

2 Links to video are unlisted, only those with the link can view the video. Video links are for personal use only, for parent/guardian to download as keepsake and share with family members.  Do not post videos on social media.
3. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) does not authorize to have their routines (groups/duet/trio/solos) posted on social media. Videos are for personal use only. Written permission from the choreographer and other participants is required to release the routine. Privacy Policy - When you register for programs/classes/camps/workshops at The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), the information we may collect from you includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, medical information. It may also include details of the products and services we provide to you as well as the status of your enrolment.

-We only collect information directly from the parent/guardians primarily for the purpose of providing services and products to you and to administer and manage invoicing and debt collection. We may occasionally use your information to promote and market to you information which we consider may be of interest to you unless you contact us and tell us not to do so. We will never sell or pass on any of your information to third parties unless required by government authorities or in the event of debt recovery. Waiver Release Policy: I/We Agree that if my dependent or I engage in any physical exercise, class, spectating or activity on the premises, any venue or virtual lesson where we participate as representative of The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.), we do so at our own risk.  We agree that we are voluntarily participating in activity and use said facilities, premises (including parking lot) and designated The Edge Performing Arts Inc. venues.  We assume all risk of injury, illness, damage, or loss to us or our property that might result, including, without limitation, any loss or theft of any personal property.  The Activities have foreseeable and unforeseeable inherent risks, hazards and dangers that no amount of care, caution or expertise can eliminate, including without limitation, the potential for serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, and loss of life. These risks include: Premises: collisions with objects or barriers that are a part of the premises, dangerous, unsafe, or irregular conditions on walls, floors, the ground or other surfaces; and travel to and from the premises. Health: executing strenuous and demanding physical techniques; physical exertion; overexertion; stretching; dehydration; fatigue; cardiovascular workouts; rapid movements and stops; lack of fitness or conditioning; traumatic injury; sprains and fractures, spinal cord injuries, bacterial infections; rashes; and the transmission of communicable diseases, including viruses of all kinds, COVID-19, bacteria, parasites or other organisms. Ability: failing to act safely or within the Participant’s own ability or within designated areas. Conduct: the Participant’s conduct and the conduct of other persons including any physical altercation between participants.  
 I/We agree that this consent and assumption of risk statement covers each and every event or activity sponsored by The Edge Performing Arts Inc. and your affiliates and related parties an their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, instructors, insurers, shareholders, owners, operators from any and all liability and any and all claims, demands and causes of action of any kind whatsoever that we may have arising out of participation in a program or related activity, including as a result of negligence.  We acknowledge that we have carefully read this Waiver and Release and full understand that it is release of liability.  I/We are waiving  any right that we may have to bring legal action to assert  a claim against The Edge School of Performing Arts ( The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) for your negligence.

COVID-19 Release Policy: The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. It is believed that an individual can be infected with COVID-19 without their knowledge and be asymptomatic. The Edge Performing Arts Inc. has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, The Edge Performing Arts Inc. cannot guarantee that I or anyone else will not become infected with COVID-19, including my spouse, guests, unborn child, or relatives. Participation in a The Edge Performing Arts Inc. program(s), related event, or activity, could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. By signing this agreement, I ACKNOWLEDGE the contagious nature of COVID-19 and VOLUNTARILY ASSUME THE RISK that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a The Edge Performing Arts Inc. program(s), related event, or activity, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death to myself, my spouse, guests, unborn child, or relatives. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at a The Edge Performing Arts Inc. program(s), related event, or activity may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself or others, including, but not limited to, The Edge Performing Arts Inc. employees, volunteers, and program participants. I UNDERSTAND AND VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL the foregoing risks related to COVID-19 and accept sole responsibility for any injury or illness that may occur. Further, I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of The Edge Performing Arts Inc., its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any The Edge Performing Arts Inc. program(s), related event, or activity.

No Soliciting Policy: 

1. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) kindly asks that there be no solicitation of goods, services, or events within The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) premises or during dance related activities, unless it has been explicitly approved by The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) Admin Team. 

2. The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) focus is to create a positive and inclusive environment for our dancers and their families.  By adhering to this policy, we can maintain a space where everyone feels comfortable and can fully enjoy their dance experience.

3. Solicitation/Recruitment is unprofessional and unethical and will not be tolerated. Out of respect for The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) and what we have created, we ask that no student or parents of students currently taking classes at The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) and recently thereafter solicit/recruit, or attempt to solicit/recruit, The Edge School of Performing Arts The Edge School of Performing Arts (The Edge Performing Arts Inc.) students and/or parents for other instruction relating to dance.
