Trade Supplier of the Year 2023 - Trade submission

PURPOSE OF COMPETITION

To recognise the trade supplier that has offered the best in supply, delivery, customer service, product knowledge and awareness of retailers’ requirements.

JUDGING CRITERIA

In determining the winner, the judges will take the following factors into account:

·       The service offered to retail and the support offered

·       Delivery and returns policies

·       Stocks and ordering procedures

·       The support offered to retailers to maximise their sales and profit

·       The planning  and strategy involved in developing the retail market and product ranges

·       The degree to which products/services are new or adapted to market needs.

ELIGIBILITY

This award is open to British based companies supplying to retail customers  – either their own manufactured or externally sourced products. There is no restriction in terms of product type being sold so includes feed, clothing, saddlery, equipment etc.

We are aiming to find the ‘best’ supplier through this process. The judging panel will aim to allow a level playing field for all supplier entries regardless of size and resources.  Most of all the judges are looking for high quality entries that demonstrate great service to the retail trade.

We welcome entries from suppliers of all sizes but we particularly encourage entries from smaller suppliers as what they offer can be tailored very effectively to retailers’ needs

GENERAL

All financial information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be disclosed to anyone other than the panel of judges and its advisors.  Please provide enough relevant information to enable the assessors to form a clear picture of your achievements.

Whilst this form is designed for suppliers nominating their own company, retailers are welcome to nominate any supplier that they feel offers them the best service and works to help them build sales and profitability.
