We are pleased to announce the Call for Poster Abstracts for the upcoming Drought Resilience +10 Conference, which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from September 30th to October 3rd, 2024. This conference aims to bring together policymakers, experts, and practitioners to explore strategies for scaling up and accelerating drought action globally. The conference has a strong policy focus, hence the research that it invites should be policy-relevant and emphasize societal impacts (rather than further research).
The conference will feature various thematic workstreams addressing critical aspects of drought resilience in the context of global change. The scientific posters aim to present the latest science relevant for these topics, summarising novel drought research of the last ten years, thus bringing the science close to the policy context.
We invite contributions that summarize the outcomes of projects or research activities, emphasizing results and their implications for enhancing resilience.
The deadline for poster abstract submission is June 26th 2024, 12:00 CET.
The poster section is organized by the Drought in the Anthropocene network (DitA).

Submission Guidelines:
- Abstracts should summarize the work of a project or research group (rather than individual research), focusing on results and their relevance for enhancing drought resilience (rather than research ideas).
- Abstracts should be both scientific and policy-relevant, resembling a science for policy brief rather than an academic publication. The policy message and the practical implications should be emphasized.
- Bullet-point lists of policy-relevant findings are encouraged.
Abstracts can be max 2000 characters (1000 about results, 1000 about relevance for resilience building)
Indicate whether the submission has regional or global relevance.
