Rural Outreach - Peer Leader Application 

The Peer-Led Rural Outreach Project aims to increase the availability of harm reduction support and resources for people who use drugs in rural and small-town communities in PEI.

The role of Peer Leaders is to promote health and safer substance use practices, within their personal networks and community, by:

  • Distributing harm reduction tools and information
  • Tracking the harm reduction tools distributed and the number of peers reached
  • Supporting the collection of used materials when/if possible
  • Connecting community members to other services
  • Providing peer support to other Peer Leaders
