NB Class of 2029 Sending District Dance
On Friday, May 19, 2023, Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School will host a dance for all sending district sixth grade students who will be entering middle school in September. The dance is sponsored and coordinated by the PTO's of North Hanover, Mansfield, Chesterfield, and Springfield to give students the opportunity to meet and socialize with their future classmates.

The dance will be held in the Middle School Cafetorium from 7:00 - 9:00pm. There is a $5.00 admission fee per student that is payable at the door to help cover expenses. The balance of the admission collected after expenses will be deposited into an account for the NB Class of 2029.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING RULES WITH YOUR STUDENT:

In order to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone, all students are expected to abide by the following rules:

1. Students should dress appropriately, casually, and comfortably. School dress code policies apply.

2. The Middle School main entrance will open at 6:40PM. Upon arrival students must report to their school’s table to be SIGNED IN by a parent or other responsible adult. The $5.00 admission fee will be collected at the door. Cash preferred.

3. Students will receive a name tag to enter the Cafetorium. Name tags are to be worn all evening.

4. Per school policy, all bags are subject to search. Any item deemed hazardous or inappropriate will be held by chaperones and returned after the dance.

5. CELL PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE CAFETORIUM. Ziploc bags and cell phone baskets will be available for students who wish to have their cell phone on-site and secured by a chaperone. Students who need to make a call will be allowed to do so in the hallway near the sign-in tables and can return to the cafetorium when finished. All adult chaperones will be on hand with cell phones and in the event of an emergency. PTA’S WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGED, SCRATCHED, OR LOST/STOLEN
PHONES AND WILL BE HELD AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If any student refuses to leave the cell phone at the check-in table, a parent will be called and the student will be removed from the dance.

6. There will be chaperones in the cafetorium, the hallway, and outside the bathrooms. They are there for the safety of the students. No loitering or running in the hallways will be allowed. All school rules apply.

7. Light refreshments will be provided during the dance.

8. At the end of the dance students must be SIGNED OUT by a parent or other responsible adult. No student will be allowed to leave the dance without being signed out.

We want to remind all students that you are a expected to be on your best behavior during this event. Inappropriate or unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and will result in your removal from the dance, a parent/guardian will be called, and the student will have to be picked up.

We greatly appreciate cooperation with the above to ensure a smooth event for our sixth graders!
