1) Inclusivity in Higher Education - with a focus on Class, Race & Disability
This policy paper will propose potential action points to increase inclusivity in both the University of St Andrews and the University of Cambridge, with research being done by PIAR researchers about St Andrews and Wilberforce researchers about Cambridge. The research will include looking at inclusivity in both institutions with regard to economic background, race, and ability/disability. In what ways is the student experience at St Andrews and Cambridge inclusive or non-inclusive for people from a variety of economic backgrounds, races, and abilities/disabilities? What more can be done at each institution to increase inclusivity in each of these categories? This research will focus specifically on student experiences once accepted to either St Andrews or Cambridge and not on the inclusivity of the admissions process.
