Game-based Learning in the Classroom. Level up your STEM lessons with educational games that will entertain and inspire while your students solve problems! Educators will explore the best practices for integrating game based learning then they will test a game of their choice and learn how to integrate it into their curriculum. 10.12.23 4:00-5:00 pm est.;  cost: FREE

Exploring Math through Code.  In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the Python programming language and explore how to use Python to teach simple math concepts and engage students in computational thinking. 11.09.23 4:00-5:00 pm est.; cost: FREE 

Coding and the Curriculum: Intro to Scratch for Educators.This 15 hour discussion and project based course provides an introduction to coding with Scratch and physical computing with the Micro:bit. This course is ideal for educators from any background that want to prepare their students for the computational world and who want to include coding in their content area. Educators who complete the full course are eligible for one MSDE CPD credit (approval number 23-68-31).  Class dates: 10.5.23, 10.19.23, 11.16.23, 11.30.23; 4-6 pm est.; cost: $175.
