Enjoy a beautiful walk in the woods at Buffam Brook Community Forest. This is an easy loop through hardwood forest of approximately one mile. We will explore an old quarry basin that was active in the first half of the 19th century and learn about its important contribution to Pelham and Amherst history. The Buffam Brook Community Forest is only the second of its kind in Massachusetts. Trekking poles, snowshoes, and/or spikes are provided.

Owned and managed by the Pelham Conservation Commission, in partnership with Kestrel Land Trust, the forest is managed for the educational, recreational, and economic benefits of the community.

About Kestrel Land Trust: About Kestrel Land Trust: Kestrel works with landowners and other organizations and agencies to conserve the land and resources in the Connecticut River Valley.
