Lead Teachers
Lead teachers will be asked to sign up for one month at a time, just like lay leaders in the service do. They will leave with the children at the passing of the peace or after the children's sermon (when there is one - you will know ahead of time) and will return after the sermon before communion or the last hymn. Lead teachers will be paired with a helper to assist with crowd control, potty breaks, etc.

Lead teachers will be provided the curriculum for the class, including all supplies. Prep work is simply reading the scripture passage and lesson ahead of time. Lead teachers will be required to have state child abuse and criminal clearances and to attend/watch recording of orientation.

Helpers
Helpers will be schedules on a rotating schedule of one week at a time. The more helpers we have, the less often they will have to leave church to help. They will leave with the children at the passing of the peace or after the children's sermon (when there is one - you will know ahead of time) and will return after the sermon before communion or the last hymn. Helpers do not have to prepare ahead of time. They will be expected to help with potty breaks, crowd control, and generally backing up the lead teacher in whatever way is needed. Helpers will not be expected to teach class alone.

Helpers will be required to have state child abuse and criminal clearances and to attend/watch recording of orientation.

Substitutes
Substitutes will be asked to fill in when a teacher or helper is sick or otherwise unable to make it to church on week. Substitutes can sub for either teachers or helpers or both. Teachers can sub as helpers, helpers as teachers, and those who aren't on the regular schedule for either can still sub for both. They will leave with the children at the passing of the peace or after the children's sermon (when there is one - you will know ahead of time) and will return after the sermon before communion or the last hymn.

Substitutes will be required to have state child abuse and criminal clearances and to attend/watch recording of orientation.
