All volunteers will attend a Volunteer Meeting (June 4, 6 pm, at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church), during which you will receive details on your volunteer responsibility and receive your official Pride Fest volunteer T-shirt.
Please provide the information below and a representative will contact you to confirm details and assign you a role. Possible volunteer options include:
Setup (morning; 1-3 hours)
- Checking in vendors, assisting vendors as they transport supplies and materials to their designated spot, assisting with vendor tent setup
- Decorating the grounds of the church - posting signage, streamers, assorted decor
- Setting up tables and chairs for guest seating
Cleanup (afternoon; 1 hour)
- Assisting vendors as they take down their tents and load their vehicles
- Garbage cleanup
- Taking down decor
(Please note: Setup and especially cleanup are high-priority needs!)
Monitoring bounce house (during event; 1-4 hours)
- Ensuring a safe number of kids are in the bounce house
- May need to assist children entering and exiting the bounce house
Fest maintenance (during event; 1-4 hours)
- Emptying garbage cans as needed
- Making sure pathways are clean and free of garbage and debris
- Helping guide guests toward Porta Potties, food, vendors, garbage cans
- Helping guide vendors to vendor lounge
- Answering questions on parking and/or other concerns
