What is the purpose of a Shadow Day?
Shadow days are an integral part of the admissions process. They allow prospective students to experience a day in the life of a Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep student. This helps students get a “feel” for the school and decide if Cristo Rey St. Martin’s College Prep educational standards are compatible with their academic goals.
What time should I arrive and where should I go?
Shadows must report by the school main office at 8:45 AM, an admissions representative will welcome the shadows and parents. All shadow day participants should check in with Mr. Arizmendi at the school main office at 8:45 AM Participants will be dismissed at 3:18 PM.
What do I do during a Shadow Day Visit?
Shadow day participants are paired with a Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep student. The participants remain with the students throughout the day, attending classes, eating lunch, and participating in other daily school related activities. The participants will have a chance to interact with the teachers, faculty and other students.
How do I choose my Shadow Day Guide?
Cristo Rey St. Martin will assign a student from the Student Ambassadors Program. All Cristo Rey St. Martin students participating in shadow day program have been trained to be guides for the day.
What should I wear and bring on my Shadow Day?
