The Camrose Public Library is happy to be bringing you another summer of reading and
fun with the Summer Reading Club and the Book Bike!
The TD Summer Reading Club program helps to connect families with books and to
build a confidence and love of reading. Kids should register online at
tdsummerreadingclub.ca and at the library to access free e-books, read a webcomic and
share book recommendations, jokes, silly stories and more with other children across the
country. Participants can also vote for their favourite summer read as books go head-to-head
each week as part of the new Battle of the Books feature. New this year, the Club
will be offering 28 author/illustrator online readings and workshops.

     Due to COVID-19, our activities will start online, and we will resume some in-person
activities when the library re-opens. This means new regulations and restrictions will be
in place. We ask kindly to ensure your child is well-fed, brings their own water bottle,
and has used the washroom before attending our in-person programming. Food and
washrooms will be unavailable during in-person programming. Parents and guardians are
asked to pre-register and provide contact information for contact tracing in the case of
sickness. We also kindly ask all children to be dropped off in-person by someone over the
age of 18 as they will be asked screening questions regarding health and travel.
We have a bunch of fun activities and partnerships in the works, so check our website
and Facebook page in the next few weeks to see our schedule and what parks we will be
at. We hope to have space for everyone to join, but if we do not, we will be happy to lend
you one of our many activity kits or a book! All activities we run will be designed with
COVID-19 prevention in mind, following guidelines set out by the Government of
Alberta.
