“Creating a culture of encounter with Young Adults in a time of social distancing and economic uncertainty"
A part of our series on issues that affect dignity and life in all its fullness and ministry with young adults.

Hosted by the USCCB National Advisory Team on Young Adult Ministry and the Loyola Institute for Ministry, Loyola University New Orleans.

Thursday, April 16, 2020  2pm ET (1pm CT, 12 pm MT, 11am PT)

Presenters:
Rachel Mpanu-Mpanu, Young Adult Minister from Miami

Danielle Brown, Associate Director for the USCCB Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism

In discussing how Jesus came of age and grew in his ministry, Pope Francis encourages everyone to help young people grow in holiness and respond to their personal vocation He writes, however, "none of this should be overlooked in pastoral work with young people, lest we create projects that isolate young people from their family and the larger community, or turn them into a select few, protected from all contamination. Rather, we need projects that can strengthen them, accompany them and impel them to encounter others, to engage in generous service, in mission" (Christus Vivit #30).

This webinar takes seriously the call to create cultures of encounter as one way to support life and dignity in its fullness in ministry with young adults.

Our presenters will draw from their experiences in life and in ministry to offer very practical ways to create cultures of encounter  in ministries with young adults.
