Community health professionals from local organizations and agencies are invited to attend this free 2hr CEU event approved by the Iowa Board of Certification with the goal of building connections, collaboration, and coalition around the legacy of redlining and its impact on our community today. The workshop includes a guided tour of the AAMI Mapping Exclusion Redlining Exhibit following a panel discussion and community conversation about the history of redlining in Cedar Rapids. A panel discussion of leaders in the community will share what they have done in their work to address the issues of redlining in our community and what still needs to be addressed to improve the health and well-being of our citizens. Participants will be given a resource list of information to assist them in creating an action plan that will aid in beginning to dismantle this issue from both a personal and professional perspective.
