Thank you for your interest in the Clinton Community Fellows Program.
The Clinton Community Fellows Program provides an opportunity for young leaders to develop valuable skills and experience in a rural, small-city environment. This is accomplished by recruiting and matching young, locally-connected talent with the needs of local businesses. Under the supervision and mentorship of the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission, the Wilmington Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, and Energize Clinton County, Fellows will work on a project basis with business partners to provide additional business development capacity to assist local businesses in achieving their strategic objectives.
In addition to the hands-on business development experience, Fellows will take part in networking, volunteer projects, and other community-oriented activities to help them make connections and identify opportunities for long-term employment in the community.
The Fellows selection process will be competitive and based on the best match between prospective Fellows' education and skill sets and identified community and economic development needs.
The program is slated to begin June 3, 2024 and end on August 9, 2024. The Clinton Community Fellows program is a full-time commitment, with approximately 30 hours per week focused on business-related projects and 10 hours per week to be focused on networking and other community-related efforts.
